About this Collection

In March, 2015, Jeremy Sigmon (USGBC) and Adrienne Johnson (Stanford University) released a research paper by the same name. The analysis studies LEED-certified Building Design + Construction projects in California from 2006-2014 (the data set captured here in this GBIG collection) to illuminate trends in how LEED project teams in California have addressed building-related opportunities to conserve water, manage water flows off the project site, and restore the state's fragile hydrological resources. The paper also offers a look at new ideas, policies and tools (and especially LEED v4) as vehicles to accelerate statewide uptake of exceptional freshwater conservation and water resource management in all buildings in California.
